I found this government document.

It states that its possible someone might get referred 3 months after migration (which given this only started in September, no one would have been contacted yet).

Quote here, anyone have any knowledge or experience of this? perhaps with natural migrations?

If the ESA review WCA date has passed, Universal Credit will apply a 3-month re-
referral date from the date of the Universal Credit claim.

    It is saying that someone will get referred for a WCA if, and this if is the important part, if their review date on ESA has already passed by the time they migrate to UC. I hope that helps @worried33

    I note that the document isn't dated.

    This could be a new policy alongside the new geographic assessment providers, re assessments were always going to restart at some point, there is such a backlog though I doubt there is capacity within the system to resume at pace and apply this guideline to every person migrating.

    If you have a Dr note saying you are not fit for work do you still need to be assessed by a DWP worker who is not a professional on mental health issues surely a Dr is more qualified to deal with these matters.

    Yes, claiming benefits means you have to go through their medical assessment process.

    The DWP contract out the medical assessments* and then the DWP Decision Maker decides your claim. They usually go with the healthcare assessment providers recommendation, but not always.

    *In a small number of areas the DWP do the medical assessments themselves without an external provider.

    Thanks for responding as always, I did find the link on a rightsnet discussion for natural migrations, on that discussion they did state in practice they havent observed it happening in practice.
