LCWRA affects council tax reduction? Unbelievable
We got a council tax reduction that was short lived as today I had a letter telling me monthly payments were going up because my husband is now on LCWRA and it’s classed as income. As said, unbelievable. The governments continuous stance of give and take back. Rant over !

For Council Tax Reduction, I have seen a few other areas treat UC differently to legacy benefits, I don't know why.

The policy varies from council to council, not a fan of it being done this way. My council are currently consulting on changes to the council tax support scheme (its getting a cut in funding), I already have to pay towards it, so so am waiting to see how much they increase it by. Although as part of the consultation they state some disabled residents will get 100% support, which doesnt currently happen.
I expect you still getting some support, but they have just reduced it.
