Hi, my name is Scott1234! Is there anything else I can claim while on PIP?

good morning all can anybody give me some advise i retire next month I get the lower rate pip I have been turned down for universal credit because the wife works I will only getting my state pension is there any benefits I can claim while on pip I am retiring due to ill health regards scott

Hi @Scott1234, welcome to the community. It can be a little difficult to find any extra top ups if your partner is working and earns beyond the threshold for means tested benefits. You could try using a benefits calculator to see if there's anything else you might be entitled to:

If your wife is under state pension age the only benefit possible to claim now will be UC. You will not be able to claim Pension Credit due to being a mixed aged couple.
You could try claiming council tax reduction from your local Authority but other than that there's nothing else.
