Hi everyone great news my husband got awarded pip and I've just won my tribunal I've only waited a year and a half I got mine for 5 years do we need to inform universal credit

Universal credit does usually get told about pip even though supposedly no connection but PiP informs them

I actually received a phone call from jobcentre at the time letting me no i'de been Awarded pip before I even got my confirmation letter

Great news.... I would inform them as it is a change of circumstances and it doesn't take PIP into consideration so you won't lose any other benefts

I think that P.i.P has a connection with universal credit but it's said that it doesn't effect other benefits.

that’s great it is terrible that it takes that long as it never should. PiP doesn’t need to be informed to UC the only reason they ever know is because all benefit payments go through HMRC and DWP meaning they know regardless but if you wish to be safe and it makes you feel better and more secure just send quick journal message and they will inform you if you need to document it.

Congrats x I won mine back in July after 18 months but DWP asked for statement of reasons and still waiting!

Congratulations! I cannot comment on the other issue as I do not currently receive any benefits and still waiting for Tribunal via the Courts for PIP.

Sorry but I disagree with that. PIP do not usually share information with UC. In this case there's no harm in informing them of the award, once it's put into payment.
In fact in some cases it may even increase UC entitlement. @Rottweiler78 I see from a previous thread that you're already claiming carers element for looking after your partner.
Does your partner receive the LCWRA element for theirself? If they don't and they are not claiming carers element for looking after someone else, they will be able to claim it for looking after you, once your PIP award is in payment. If they are receiving the LCWRA element for theirself, they won't be able to claim carers element.

No I'm not getting carers allowance in fact we're getting £0 from universal credit because of my income but I can know reduce my hours as it's really affecting my condition

Carers allowance is a complete separate benefit to UC. It's carers element of UC I was referring to. In a previous thread you asked about claiming that, although now I realise it was only a few days ago you asked about that. See thread here, with details on how to claim it.
Has your partner reported their health condition and provided a fit note? This will start the work capability assessment process off. See link.

Hes filled out the form for limited capability work were just waiting for him to have the assessment for that was told it could take up to 3 months for the assessment he's sending his fit notes in to universal credit too thanks poppy for all your advice

hi I’m a bit lost. If you won your tribunal why would pip ask for statement of reasons. They usually pay you straight away. I mean they would have everything they need.

DWP have as much chance as we do to appeal a decision. After a Tribunal decision no one can just appeal because they disagree. First they need to request the Statement of Reasons and Record of Proceedings.
Once they receive those they need to find the error in law before they can take it any further.
They sometimes request them but rarely challenge it.
After a Tribunal win it can take up to 8 weeks for your award to be put into payment and receive any money that’s owed to you. They don’t usually pay you straight away.
