Hi, my name is Skipper62! DLA, What else can i claim as this will only just cover my council rent?

I am about to get DLA after ssp runs our. Only £90.00 per week. What else can i claim as this will only just cover my council rent. What about other bills and living costs? Any advice would be appreciated.

    Have you had a look at a benefits calculator? That can give you an idea of what you can claim.

    Can I please ask you to check exactly what you're claiming after SSP runs out? DLA is a disability benefit paid to those that are under the age of 16 so I wouldn't expect you to claim this for yourself. Unless you mean PIP.

    You can look at claiming Universal Credit, which will include Housing Element for your rent.

    It is dependant on household income, so if you have a working partner you may not be eligible.

    The ESA will be deducted in full from a UC award.
