I currently receive LCWRA, pip, Universal Credit. I been working 12 hours a week but with my disability and pain it's just to much and employer management is just awful towards me. So my question is if anyone can kindly help is. If I stop working I know that I don't need to inform anyone but I been earn abit of wages would I be entitled to unemployment benefit. Or is because I get the higher Lcwra that just wipes everything out. Thank you again for your time .

    You are already claiming UC which includes the LCWRA element. This is an in work and out of work benefit.

    You maybe able to claim is New style ESA but you will not be financially better off because it’s just deducted in full from any UC entitlement. Whether there’s any entitlement to this will depend on your NI contributions from the previous 2 tax years.

    If you stop working you would need to report the changes to UC.

    Other than that all that’s left is council tax reduction.

    Thank for advice so just so I know 100% if I stop working these 12 hours a week my lcrwa pip and UCredit will stay in place until, I find a more suitable job that I can do . I don't want to stop these 12 hours then have a nightmare trying to sort everything out again. I welcome advice and thank you so much for taking time out of your day to answer my questions.     As you’ve already been found to have LCWRA finishing work will not affect your UC in a bad way. Your maximum UC entitlement will remain the same.

    Sorry please excuse lack of understanding what do you mean by"already found to have Lcwra" So am I right in thinking that I can leave my current job and look for something more suitable and it all stays the same regarding monthly payments.

    Do I need to infom universal credit if leave work even though nothing changes in payment.

    Hello @Topcat71. Yes, as you have LCWRA you can leave your current job and look for something more suitable without it negatively impacting your UC award. You will need to report to UC that you are no longer working. You should be able to do this on your online UC account under 'report a change'.
