Oh, and part of the reason my payment was stopped and I'm no longer entitled is "Because you attended a wedding". I actually have this in writing.

I am absolutely not surprised by any of these.

Albus, talk about taking the name FACEbook a little too literally xD.

I remember in my assessment they didn't do any assessment for mental health, and the assessor focused a lot on my ability to walk and move around despite my not claiming anything in those areas. But then my report was all about how I had anxiety but not badly enough that I had medication or needed a mental health consultant, so didn't need any points.

They also told me that it wasn't my diagnosis but how it affected me that mattered. Which would have been fine, except that all the things I said about that were disregarded in favour of "anxiety". And then dismissed because I didn't have the right mental health support.

I also took both my parents to my assessment because I can't navigate. We have it recorded and on the recording I clearly say to the assessor, "I brought them because I can't navigate and would get lost, but even with their help I still got lost from the station'.

Report - "Candidate stated they had no trouble finding the assessment location."

Result: No points for navigational issues/planning a journey."

It's bizarre how they try to latch on one thing, to use it as evidence that you can do EVERYTHING! Makes no sense.

One example was, the person got a pass for their GCSE Maths, so assessor said that means they can budget and manage money 🙄😄. The person was about 18 years old Autism, ADHD and Depression.

I'm pretty sure most people learn about budgeting as adults after making mistakes or if someone is helping them.

More that I have heard or read

Assessor: So you have ADHD? Do you play video games for hours?

    Person: Yes.

Assessor: So you would say you can focus for long periods of time then?

    Person: Ahh…

It's all about them playing stupid. Someone with ADHD playing video games, makes alot of sense but the assessor said it means they have the ability to focus and concentration for long periods of time. You can't win with them 😅 that's why it's best to request a tribunal.

This one is one of the worst

During the interview the person is explaining their illness/disability as everyone does.

The assessor wrote, that claimant has great insight and understanding of their condition so they are capable of managing things by themself, they do not help any help or support!

I am starting to think the assessors might actually be the devil himself that's the only reason I can think of why they tyring to get to hell so badly. 😂

I have had this on my reasons for the zero points. I have insight so I can keep myself safe. In some respects that's actually going to be the case. If you are aware of something, you can try and do something about it.

However just because PIP says zero points, I am still receiving direct payment for care because I need and get support from elsewhere. DLA accepted this evidence and a few other things that don't meet the descriptors for PIP. That was the whole idea, to cut benefit and save money.

    Tesla? 😆

And if a person was a professional runner in his youth, then he cannot later have a disability with mobility problems. Government logic!

    I had a good one -

She pressed the buttons on her black phone - I have a pink touch screen phone that was in another room

she opened her purse - I don’t use a purse

Her vocabulary is good - because I had to spell my medical conditions

The whole assesmrnt is insane and inhuman..I just reclaimed pip for my partner..I knew it would be nonsense and it was..

They can spin "how do your issues affect your life",any way they want..plus they seem happy just to lie through their teeth when it suits them..I'm not shocked or wounded by this stuff anymore..seen so much of it..having been around kind, ethical nurses and therapists most of my life, and worked for MIND for a while ,plus my grandparents were part of the group that fought tooth and nail, for a decent health care system..I used to wonder how it came to this, and what if anything could be done about it..

Id work on it probably,if I didn't spend every second caring for my partner as the system removes support, finance and sanity with every passing day..

Official services increasingly inhuman, inhumane and rediculous..

Well done to everyone who posted for being strong, brave and bigger than them!

I was a companion for a close friend during a face to face pip assessment and they asked her rub her head and pat her belly at the same time (not even joking!!!!). She was there because her disability affected her lower body not her upper body which the assessor knew.
