Thanks
Not sure I fully understand what the assessment period stuff means and getting paid double issues.
For example if you have a job and get paid on the 28th of the month what difference does it make when you claim ?
Also on another note about saving does the £6000 limit include childrens savings in your account (in their own names though) ?

Each UC payment is based on your circumstances for the previous month, known as the assessment period.
The start of your AP will be the day you submit your application, the end 29 days later.
Occasionally wage dates might fall twice in an AP rather than once. This would effect your next UC payment. Though I understand there might be a workaround, it's not my area of expertise so I won't attempt to advise.
If children's savings are not in your name then they should be excluded from calculating your capital.

I see ok thanks. For childrens account they are linked to my account but in her own name with her own account number and sort code. But I manage it fully.
She has just turned 16 and will be moving her to an account she manages. However I'm worried they may thing I am hiding savings.
Would I best leave it all as is and let them assess.
