hi can some one help me I ave received a letter to say my rent is going up on the 31/12 do I let Uc know now

UC isn't geared up towards dealing with future changes, so it'll need to be after it happens, on the day it happens ideally.

If you're privately renting and you're already receiving your maximum housing element entitlement then a rent increase will not change your housing element. Although you should still report the changes once they happen.

On your UC statement it will show a different amount for your Housing Element than your rent amount if you are over the maximum LHA entitlement already.
Says something like: We cannot pay the full amount you told us about because we cannot pay more than the Local Housing Allowance rate.
