Government announces UK Neuro Forum
Andrew Gwynne MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Department of Health and Social Care, has announced a new UK-wide Neuro Forum will be set up to find ways to improve care and support for people affected by neurological conditions.
This landmark announcement follows years of campaigning, calling on the government to #BackThe1in6 people in the UK living with neurological conditions and improve workforce and services for everyone affected.
First ever UK government forum to address gaps in treatment and care

- You, together with 8,500+ people affected by neurological conditions, shared your experiences in My Neuro Survey 2022, underpinning the campaign.
- 19,000+ people and 100+ organisations signed the #BackThe1in6 petition calling for improvements in care, treatment and support.
- Nearly 1,000 people wrote to their prospective MPs in the run-up to the general election, calling on them to become #NeuroChampions in Parliament.
An important step
We are working closely with the Department of Health and Social Care to develop and deliver the forum. It is vital that the voices of people affected by neurological conditions continue to be heard in the work to come.
