hi I’m disabled I have a lot of illnesses long term, I have scoliosis of the spine, fibromyalgia, I’m asthmatic, diabetic, have psoriasis which is all over my body, I suffer with depression and anxiety, I’m classed as morbidly obese and have arthritis , suffer with migraines I was on the high rate for mobility and middle for care I was on it for 13 years my husband’s my carer, I had a video call in September,as they had cancelled it once and it had made me ill as I just wanted it over and done with, on the day that the person phoned I was in bed ill with pain and was suffering a migraine, I wanted it to be over so said I will go through with it, my husband was sat next to me, he started asking questions I answered when it come to the personal stuff I felt really embarrassed as he was not much older than my eldest son, I told him everything he wasn’t really nice, his phone kept being with messages so you could see he was looking he sprayed himself with aftershave he was at home sat on sofa, never really made eye contact just tapping away, got a letter today to say I’m not being awarded pip I’ve only 4 points I just don’t understand how that can happen I don’t know what to do please help

I'm sorry to hear about this, it sounds like your assessment was a really stressful and invalidating experience. I hope you are okay.The next step would be to appeal your pip decision by a mandatory reconsideration, you can find more information about how to do that here

Hi,
Are you changing over to PIP from DLA or is this just a PIP review? The criteria for PIP is different to DLA so that could be part of the reason.
The next step is to start a Mandatory Reconsideration for PIP.

Hi,
I'm afraid it is classed as a new claim because PIP is totally different to DLA.
The PIP descriptors can be seen in the link below. They need to apply for more than half the time.
There is no longer a middle rate with PIP. You need at least 8 points for standard rate, or 12 points for enhanced rate.
