She has aspergers ADHD anxiety and severe depression. She lives alone and will not move back home. I took her to A&E again last night for her to talk to the mental health team, there reply to her was it's all in your head and what do you want us to do about it. Really this is making my ill health much worse and I don't know how much more I can take

@pedlar I've answered your post so it doesn't go down the list. So sorry to hear about your daughter. Hope you can get help for her and yourself soon. I suggest you repost this in ask a mental health advisor for more constructive help..

Hi @pedlar I am so sorry to hear about this.  How can the mental health team say this? It must be so tough for you both.

Is she getting any support at all? I will move this to the Mental health advisor section for you.

You or your daughter can call the Samaritans on 116 123 (free) or email them at [email protected] to speak to a specialist in mental health. Your daughter might also benefit from reading MIND’s information on how you can help yourself.

I know this must be heartbreaking for you, so remember that you need to look after yourself as well.  This community is hear for you, but do you have any friends or family you can speak to and get support from?

    Hi @pedlar

I am sorry to hear that you are your daughter are having a really difficult time. As parents we want to protect our children and it can be so hard not having the power to change things for them and make it all better.

The service you and your daughter have received from the Mental Health team is not appropriate and she should have been listened to. You have mentioned taking her to A&E but I was jut wondering if there is a reason you didn't take her to see her GP. Sometimes in A&E they are stretched and are unable to give the level of service she needs, although this is no excuse. A GP would be able to give her more time and make any refers that she might benefit from.
