DWP E-Mail Contact

Hi,

Just wondering if there's any e-mail contact available for the DWP yet?

I've seen the odd mention of it now being used as a reasonable adjustment on here over the past few months. However, I assume there must be some sort of process to access the details to prevent the general public using that email address?

I can't use phones at all which is why the email contact is needed.

Thanks

    Hello @OverlyAnxious

The only option I've found is: correspondence@dwp.gov.uk

Your email needs to be very clear as to what it is about and the intended team/department as it should get forwarded on. Lots of people report never hearing back though so it's not thought to be reliable.

This "Email options for disabled people" is a few years old and is a good development and shows it should be possible, however it relies on people being able to call or write to them to get it set up.

    Thanks Morgan,

I have used that email address before without a reply. Had hoped there was another one by now, but will try it again if I can't find a better option.

I also tried writing to PIP a few years ago without receiving any response. Though it was frustrating to see that they actually had it as they sent a copy of it with my Tribunal bundle about 12 months later.

It's shocking that they used it in your tribunal but never responded to it!

I would say if you use the email address, keep your email short and direct to the point. Perhaps use it to request email correspondence and ask for them to pass it to the relevant adjustments team so that it can be organised for you. Be clear that you are vulnerable, unable to call them, are without support, and need to be able to contact them.

Please let us know how you get on.
