Housing discrepancy help
hello does anyone no of there any other help I can get im on uc and pip I have 3 child only get child Benifit for the 3rd child , im struggling and im wondering if I can get any other help towards the rent shortfall or any other benefits im not aware of please .

UC has replaced all other benefits apart from Council Tax Reduction. The only other thing I can advise is you could apply for a Discretionary Housing Payment (DHP)for help with the shortfall of rent from your local Authority. It’s not guaranteed and if awarded it’s only paid for a short period of time. See link

How are you doing for other necessities if it's okay to ask?

hiya yea I received the decision and I was refused , I live by week im in dept and I struggle as im sure most do , I have to pay 125 .00 a month towards my rent was hoping I could get some help with that x

How long ago was that refusal, did you appeal at all?

was last week yes I have made a appeal been told could wait uo to 8 weeks before I even get anywhere look in I don’t understand any of this why I would even get refused x

Have you looked at the descriptors for LCWRA? If not you can see them here. Whether you qualify will depend on how your health conditions affect you. Only one of those needs to apply.
Please do look at applying for the DHP I mentioned above. You need to contact your local Authority to ask them to send you a form. You may also want to get some help filling it in because those forms are quite complex.
