Thanks guys.
Hopefully I'll be returning to work soon 🤞
Just thought the process of transitioning from child disability payments in my daughter ms name would be more straightforward.
Never been in this position before as she's my only child so all about confusing
Thanks again
Ha good weekend ave

Hi all
Just after some advice regarding my job.
I have discussed with you on here before regarding my long term absence from work due to a chrons flare up. Because of this I've been off work since September 2024.
My current sick note ends on the 9th of February. However work arranged a telephone appointment with occupational health last week who have said they've closed the case temporarily and deemed me unfit for work for another 2 months unless my symptoms improve significantly before then.
My boss has today requested a welfare meeting wednesday 29th January.
Whilst I expected to have such meetings, I thought this would be nearer the time of my return to work to discuss reasonable adjustments in the workplace etc.
I'm happy to attend if I'm able due to my health but just seems a bit soon as occupational health has advised to started in their report that I'm unfit for work for at least another 2 months and that they(occupational health) would assess me before my return.
So just abit unsure what the meeting is about so far in advance of my possible return.
Worried incase it's a bad sign and want to get rid of me which would be unfair as my sick record was immaculate until September and had been in remission until then.
I may be over thinking it. Just concerned and curious if my boss should be requesting this meeting when he's seen the occupational health report so knows I've been classed as unfit for work in their opinion for another 2 months?
Thankyou 🙂

I’d advise you to contact ACAS who will hopefully be able to give you the advice you need. I’m no expert with employment and won’t be able to advise on that.
