What benefits exactly do you currently claim? Is the Severe disability Premium included in that claim?

Hi I get esa income related and pip, standard rate,I'm not sure on sdp,I get £549 a month if that helps

I have just done the mandatory switch from income support premium rate over to UC and omg I have had nothing but anxiety since I started! They have requested fit note and luckily my GP did it straight away as I was distressed and now they are sending me UC50 capacity for work forms. I claim highest rate pip due to severe sight impairment and brain damage and still they are making me jump through hoops. I haven’t been able to stop crying and my mental health is being pushed even further because of this! I was told be an advisor this wouldn’t happen but it has and it’s a nightmare

I answered you on another thread, I'm afraid the advice you got was incorrect.

@Kimmy87 thank you I have just seen your reply 😊

ESA is paid fortnightly and not monthly.

When I did online application, I had to agree commitments (just to do stuff on to do list abx inform them of changes, and it says I have no work plan or anything), but will I have to sign anything else in person?
0 -
No, you will not need to sign anything in person. Agreeing to commitments can be done through your online journal, which you did.

Thank you, also, it is correct isn't it to say that you have health conditions on the application form? I know that esa will eventually send my details across, but in the meantime I won't get referred for a wca or anything? And i know if I do just to tell them it's not needed?

Yes, it is correct that you report having health conditions when you fill out the form. No, you will not need to provide a fit note, even if they ask, tell them it's not needed because you are in the Support Group for ESA. It will take a few weeks for them to send your details across but this is usually done in time for your first payment.

I just did my ID check at the Jobcentre. Was in and out in literally five minutes. If anyone else is doing theirs, I took in my bank card, latest bank statement, latest letter from esa and birth certificate, and this was more than enough. If you don't have any photo ID, try to take in these things if you can.

On my journal there's a message headed "other benefits affecting your universal credit" saying to contact office of benefits I am receiving to tell them I'm now getting UC. I'm assuming this is some kind of automated message? Or do i actually have to contact ESA?
0 -
thank you so much for that information, the migration line tried telling me I did need photo id, this helps a lot
1 -
Yes it's an automated message and no you don't need to do anything. ESA will know you've claimed UC as they will be asked by UC to confirm your award.

What you’re basically saying here @Kimmy87 is this, as soon as a claim is done for UC, ESA get notified electronically that you’ve claimed UC?

I know it can take a few weeks from the date of your claim for the departments to talk to each other and get those SG / Support Group details sent across but for my claim, which I’ll be starting this Thursday (6th Feb), I’ll be getting an update from UC. @Kimmy87

I’ll want to know that LCRWA reflects in my Universal Credit account. Citizens Advice Help to Claim Service advisors have said they can assist me when I request this update from UC. @Kimmy87
I’ll be getting this update over the phone ☎️ a few weeks after 6th Feb. I’ll allow ESA a few weeks to get those SG details sent over then I’ll get that update from UC. Surely UC will have received those details by the week commencing 24th Feb.0 -
ESA status does get confirmed eventually on a UC claim but I like to have that piece of mind, knowing my claim reflects LCWRA. @Kimmy87
