Does anyone use a hand held massager for spasms?

Hello, has anyone bought a hand held massager for muscle spasms? I was wondering if they work. I can't find anywhere online that suggests that massage can work for cp, so it seems to be just my own idea. I am thinking of getting a handheld massager. Something that delivers heat to the area.
My son gets spasms on and off. Sometimes in his face, which is more irritating than painful. I was wondering if a hand held face massager would help him.
Thanks for any information.

Hi @Abigail
There is a great thread here about things members have found helpful in the management of CP and massage is mentioned as well as things like TENS machines.Scope
