So as some people know on here I’m currently in process of manage migrating from ESA SG to UC. I get income based ESA I was getting 318.10 fortnightly which works out to £636.20 a month.

I’ve used a benefit calculator and it says that I can get 809.64 monthly is this true! I’m just happy with what I was receiving from ESA originally. I don’t want take money away from people who deserve it more than I do.

I don't know Ricky, but I have heard folk on here saying they will be better off claiming UC when they currently only deceive the enhanced disability premium with their ESA.

Yeah I don’t receive the Severe Disability Premium only the Enhanced one, I don’t have PIP either as never applied to them

That might be it then. I got the sdp at £81.50 and £20.85 disability income guarantee. My ESA was £240.55 pw.

As far as I am aware. If you get the Enhanced, then you may be better off on UC with LCWRA.

The @ thing doesn't work for me but look up ChrisSCOPEhtfc9407. He was on the enhanced premium and claims he will be better off.

From what I’ve just researched anyone who is on Enhanced Premium or not will be better off whereas those on Severe Premium might be less

That's true, anyone on ESA with EDP is better off on UC.

Also for those who are unsure if your on it on your most recent thing on ESA that states your reward if it says Disability Income Guarantee then that is the enhance premium that’s what I found out. I didn’t actually know this until my mum looked it up for me as it’s been so long since I had my reward letter. People probably already knew this but I just wanted to mention it in case it does help someone.

Quick question Kimmy, when the benefits go up in April will that still apply to those of us that have migrated

Yes you will get the increase in April.

It does apply to the first full assessment period after April 5th.

My AP is 26th to 25th so the increase applies to my April- May AP with payment 2nd June.

I still get 12 payments at the higher rate, I just have to wait a bit longer for it to start 😊

When will my AP be I find out what I get on the 9th and then paid on the 13th so I don’t know how to work it out

Your AP will be written on your payment statement.

Going by your payment date, did you claim on 7th February?

If so your AP would be the 7th-6th each month.

You would see the increase in your May 13th payment.

I was on ESA for 15 years, and didn't know that DIG was the enhanced rate! I obviously wasn't curious enough to look it up.

If your ESA statement mentions "disability income guarantee," it means you are likely receiving the enhanced disability premium, as this term is typically used to indicate that you are in the support group of ESA and therefore eligible for the higher premium amount.

    that’s what I read somewhere

Now I know, you were the one who told me. I am getting TP on my UC, so am getting the same as my previous sdp. Surprised to find that enhanced was only £20.85! When I got £102.35 sdp.

Yes SDP is a lot more as I think it’s aimed at those with conditions are worse. Mine is EUPD also causes me to self harm, ADHD, Dyslexia and Severe Anxiety where I can’t be around people I don’t know in person as it causes me to rip at the skin on my arm with my nails, if anything changes my day the same happens unfortunately leading to my anger to erupt.

I hated the WCA when I had it years ago as I had the assessor looking at all my scars so not looking forward to another one when it happens again lol

I’m not that knowledgeable when it comes to all this stuff, I find it all rather confusing and overwhelming to be honest
