International Love Your Pet Day!

Happy International Love Your Pet Day! What a wonderful day (and excuse!) to celebrate our amazing pets and give them extra fuss and attention.
For many disabled people, pets are more than just animals. They are true companions and part of the family! This is definitely the case for me anyway, my lovely dog Snowy
has helped me so much over the years. Before Snowy; we had Olly who was another lovely dog and he was a true lifeline for me when I was a young disabled person!
Our pets understand us in a way that other people sometimes can't. They don't judge or ask questions. They just love us unconditionally!
How are you celebrating your pet today? Are you giving them extra treats? Taking them for a special walk or car ride? Spending some quality time cuddling on the sofa?
Snowy will be getting extra treats and even more of a fuss than usual of me!

Thats a beautiful photo @Andi66. Aww bless him that sounds like a rough start for Loki it looks like, he definetly landed on his paws coming to live with you! He looks so warm and cosy in that bed😍
I understand what you mean @Amberpearl. Losing Olly absolutely broke my heart, its such a cruel thing that animals don't live as long people. You have given your cats a lovely life though and Milo looks so content and fluffy in that photo😍0 -
He's a big baby. Such a sweet temperament
I miss all my late cats
Life is so cruel

Yes he is lovely, he dosent meow, but chirps .He recently had to have one of his front teeth out as it was broken , no little front teeth. Due to him being a stray

I've never heard of a cat chirping before @Andi66! That sounds absolutely adorable. Aw bless him has he recovered okay from having them out?

Your cats were very lucky they had you looking after them @Amberpearl. It's so clear to see how loved and adored they were and still are.

I love it when days like these come around and we get to see so many pictures of all your lovely animals. Gorgeous pets all round 😁❤️

Yes he's fine, very greedy though, I think it's due to being a ex stray. Have to watch him as he eat my other cats food

The cats are the only thing keeping me going

My mad mutt Hattie who is an attempt to keep me sane!
And, yes, she wore the tug toy while having a break to chew the bone, then it was back to playing regular tug! 😆

Bruno is gorgeous @littkekegs914. Look at those eyes! I understand what you mean, I feel the same about my dog.
Awww Hattie is adorable @JessieJ. Pink suits her! She looks very mischievous I bet you have your hands full with her😂1 -
She's actually quite good…now, @Mary_Scope! She chewed through 2 USB cables & also, the controller to my riser chair. I think something sunk in after the chair, whether she got a shock or something, but hasn't been near wires since, thank goodness. I will add, I was in the bathroom when she did the chair, damn sharp pegs. The added pain is, I've bought 3 new controllers since & none have worked. Luckily I had an old just in case chair in my bedroom, so I'm having to use that & the other, as it's in the up position, is stuck in the lounge as they can't get it out. 🤣
