Pancake Day! ๐ฅ

Traditionally Shrove Tuesday falls the day before Ash Wednesday, and the last day before Lent. Traditionally a day to gain penance before beginning 40 days of fasting. The day also marks the time for people to enjoy sweet, rich foods before fasting begins.
But why pancakes? Well, a few reasons. Firstly, theyโre a great way to use up rich foods with limited expiry leftover before lent. Also, eggs, flour, milk, and salt are said to represent the 4 pillars of Christianity. The topping being a a rather delicious modern twist!

Not a fan of pancakes, I once put a whole jar of jam on one as a child to make it taste good, but it went in the bin lol. Don't mind the American thick ones.
