Taking Id to job centre after biographical phone appointment

Hi, I filled my UC form in online around the 25 th feb, and a few days later 3 march 2025 had a biographical phone appointment asked about ID and security questions, and now they want me to go to the jobcentre to take in more ID. What will they ask me, It's alot to ask as I'm in a wheelchair and need help from someone to take me there. She said she could arrange a home visit but that could take weeks her words not mine.

Hi @billy1234 Is this your initial claim? Hopefully they'll have the accessibility requirements in place for your meeting. Is it in the near future?
I'm sure that members who have been through a similar situation will see this and add their experience. However in the meantime I've found the below on the citizen's advice website which gives a bit more detail in to the biographical reviews which might be helpful for what they're likely to ask.
I wish you all the best for your appointment. Please let us know how it goes if you're happy to. 🙂
Best wishes,

Hi. Thank you for reply, This is a migration from ESA to UC. Iv been unable to work since 98 after a bad accident, they haven't given me a day yet to go to the job centre with id as I had to arrange a lift to get there and let them know.

Bless you. Hopefully it's soon so you can get it over and done with, but enough notice. Please let us know how you get on if you're happy to!

I was told it was mandatory to attend initial face to face appointment at the Jobcentre. OK, I didn't push back too hard and just did what I was told. It seems strange they were willing to accommodate your request at first, and yet still want you to come in.

I don't actually think the JC staff know their own rules.

I got my brother to go with me, I took my I'd ect, she showed me how to use the journal and to log in at least once a week told her I wanted my housing benefit paying straight to the land lord .I thought that was it but oh no I have a phone interview tomorrow 14th of march, not including and work related questions.so they say.

Don't worry about the phone call. Mine lasted only a few minutes. If you were support group, your commitments are only to report change of circumstances via your journal.
