no it means pip won't have a rise in 2026.
0 -
It means that in financial year 2026/27 PIP will be paid at the same rate as in financial year 2025/26. It won't go up in accordance with the inflation rate as it will next month.

I understand been down rabbit hole 2030 and can see it unravelling when I try speak about it get pushed back what can we do just have to live for the moment d

Interesting they not doing it this April. Does that also mean the UC changes are not until 2026 as well?
0 -
Not at all, it'll just mean they won't increase our PIP payments to match inflation as they do most years.

When I read about these "potential" changes my first thought is the DWP admitting to breaking the law?
PIP is not supposed to be about your diagnosis, diagnosis can act as evidence supporting the reported needs, but it shouldnt ever be the decider of an award. This is a reason why there is people who make applications, they report their medical condition, dont put much else and then get turned down.1 -
So it's going to happen, cutting our benefit payments or stopping them altogether and making us look for employment

didn’t the judge say removing £400 a month from claimants with no possibility of working ifs unlawful ? If I read that right then surely it’s not much different to Labour reducing amounts for people who can’t work but increasing amounts fir people who can.

No the consultation was unlawful. There is regulations around how consultations should be carried out.

yes I agree and it seems both the Tory’s and I think Labour put out false information such as they need to make people submit evidence of diagnosis. I filled out the Tory green paper and I’m sure there was something in that stating about evidence. They’re trying to make it sound as though anyone can claim without specialist letters etc . I think by mentioning fibromyalgia and other invisible conditions they’re playing on if you don’t look sick then you’re lying .

I don't know. There's still uncertainty despite the government making its intention known via ITN.
0 -
I think it was deemed as a money saving cut not for the welfare of claimants?
1 -
I think that’s what read too and he said it was so bad that it’s verging on unlawful. If I’ve remembered it correctly then what difference are Labour plans when the leaked paper states they’re considering reducing money to those who can’t work.

Labour are worse the worry is starmer human rights lawyer wouldn't surprise ne if he found loop hole for fast track also he's so ready to get rid of house of lords you know what it is what it is The goverment doesn't care about any of us look at our food water air covid jabs working people think their not included er yh you eat drink breathe the same air let's get realistic have to live for today that's all we have me running myself into the ground unable to move with fear is what they want they can say no ceasefire fund wars why they going to care for us the only way out is winning a big amount of money thinking of ways to survive there ain't none

hi Catherine , no I haven’t I’m literally straight back to last year after sunak/stride . I was just feeling more positive and now before I’ve even begun to get some strength back I’m exhausted again. Right now I’m between trying to relax and ignore the bad news and becoming obsessed.

Appreciate that but if we must wait for All facts it looks like we must wait 'til Budget Day.
Not good for the MH, maybe Stop all Speculative Comments 'til Then Too?
1 -
New Claimants will see the reduction not Existing claimants. Not a Law break to Reduce for Future claims.
