I think it was deemed as a money saving cut not for the welfare of claimants?

I think that’s what read too and he said it was so bad that it’s verging on unlawful. If I’ve remembered it correctly then what difference are Labour plans when the leaked paper states they’re considering reducing money to those who can’t work.

hi Catherine , no I haven’t I’m literally straight back to last year after sunak/stride . I was just feeling more positive and now before I’ve even begun to get some strength back I’m exhausted again. Right now I’m between trying to relax and ignore the bad news and becoming obsessed.

Appreciate that but if we must wait for All facts it looks like we must wait 'til Budget Day.
Not good for the MH, maybe Stop all Speculative Comments 'til Then Too?

New Claimants will see the reduction not Existing claimants. Not a Law break to Reduce for Future claims.

Well if cuts apply to new claimants initially that's me stuffed then. I have only just started down the collating 3 fit notes for a wca. First sent on 18th February. UC50 form should be sent after the 29th day. Will I even he sent that now? By the time my 3rd fit note is sent by 18th April ending around 18th May and I await a WCA what situation will we be in regarding these changes? . At present I'm on stand alone universal credit £393.00 per month plus single persons ILA. No earnings, no other benefits, no other form of help or income. Very difficult to survive on £393.00 every month. I was hoping to go down the LRWCA route due to health conditions but as a new health/disability claimant (I've been on UC since 2020 and classed as a job seeker) I may not get very far. I haven't even attempted PIP.

Putin and Lenin are also lawyers)
It's time for the UN to pass a law banning lawyers from being heads of state!
Of course, no one will implement it.
If there are linguists here, can they point out where the statements in the press were from the same "speechwriter"?0 -
I hope this is fought in court if true . Simply not fair to future claimants. Plus of course if we failed a review and won would we go back to original award or the lower?

Sorry for jumping to conclusions early in this thread about the LCWRA, nothing has eluded to that. I'm projecting my worries, I apologise.

Thank you for your kind words Catherine . You are right , no point worrying over something of which I’ve no control. I’m going to try and relax by watching a horror film instead . No witches 🧙 though , I want to forget Reeves and Kendall 😂

Well I was telling everyone to vote Labour because after 14 years of Tory austerity they needed to be removed, couldn’t be worse and they were the only alternative. They aren’t worse but not by much.
Labour to me are middle class Tories.
My father in law, a fairly high up union rep once told me that if you think Tory’s are bad on benefits Labour are just as bad.
It looks like it’s the greens for me next time as these two don’t care about sick and disabled just the wealthy and corporations.1 -
