Hello everyone my original pip award was from January 2020 to 28 January 2023
On 15 December this year I had phone assessment and was told that my award most likely will be extended.
Today I have received letter from pip saying " I can still award you standard rate. Just can get this amount from 15 December to 28 January 2023.'
My original award was ending on 28 January 2023. they awarded me only 6 weeks,so that I can continue to the end of original award? What's the point of the phonecall then . So how do I extend this now, do i need new application or this is just typing errors and they meant to extend it to 28 January 2024?
I'm confused 🤔

It's gone through without an assessment needed congratulations I had this happen to me when COVID-19 happened.0

But the date is 28 January 2023. Which means it ends in 5 weeks?0 -

From your separate thread
https://forum.scope.org.uk/discussion/99743/pip-phone-assessment-6-minutes#latest it is unclear whether you spoke to an assessment provider or a DWP Decision maker (although the latter seems likely).
It's possible they haven't yet made a decision and this recent this letter was simply generated to add 12 months to the existing claim and should say 2024. What's the date on the letter?
If it's a new decision a one year award would be unusually short (depending on what your health condition are).0 -

@calcotti 15 December they sent it. Yes I sent pip2 form back in June. On 15th December during my phone assessment I only speak 6 minutes talking. The lady told me that looking at the pip2 form from June I will get more time with pip. This will not end and I shouldn't worry. I was surprised it lasted only 6 minutes.

I only just connected this thread with your earlier thread.0 -
@calcotti that's the front of the letter. Plus other pages which I didn't take pic of . Other pages described points where I scored etc. Very last page is from a person explaining why they awarded me 11 points. So it doesn't look like automatic 12 months extension.0

@calcotti sorry to bother you again. At the back of the letter where decision maker writes stuff it says something about " your award review date has not changed. I marked that line on the letter. Do they mean, through out the award my review date didn't change,or it didn't change as in it still will be conducted on 28 January 2023.
They just put me on stress by sending this letter which doesn't make sense.0 -
It doesn’t seem to make much sense. You’ll have to ring them but lines are obviously going to be very busy next week so you may want to leave it until the following week.0

Also when tagging a member of the scope team it's better to use their names rather than the name you tagged because i'm not aware of that account being used.Robertt, i remember my daughters review in 2019 also had an error in the decision letter. The award date was a date in the past, which was clearly an error. I rang PIP to point out the error and they sent a new decision letter with the correct dates on it.0
