@headachey
That sounds an amazing idea, and you are so right you can’t do any harm asking.
My fingers will be crossed that it’s allowed to happen for you.
Stay strong take care❤️1 -
How often is the automatic message about next payment correct or incorrect? When I rang the auto message said what sounds like enhanced daily and standard mobility, so £467.40, which is what the report recommended. It'll be paid mid next month and I'm assuming backpay with be either Friday this week or Mon next week. Is it worth ringing to ask?0

It has been known to give incorrect information but on the other hand it's been known to be correct. It's entitely up to you whether you ring and ask or wait for the decision letter.

I'll probably ring, save me wondering and give me something to focus on a plan, special outing for kids maybe, I don't know.0

Sounds like a nice plan @headachey you can but ask, what are you like with holding on to money bab, i only ask in case social wont/can't give you an answer yet, you could make sure the money is kept back for trip etc. x1

So I rang them, they confirmed that the auto info was correct but I was surprised when they said I'll only be getting £600 next week as part of back pay (owe me near 3k), I asked why when I was told it'd be in one lump sum when they rang me yesterday, she snapped that she can only tell me what she's reading and I clarified I wasn't having a go just confused why I got two different set of info, she then sighed and said that on the system it says they owe me more, all way back to July, but the rest of the payment is waiting to be calculated and approved. So I left it at that, being snapped at for asking a question really shook me, like if I was being rude I'd understand but I wasn't. But whatever, I've got part of backpay coming next week and granted enhanced daily and standard mobility so can't complain.0

Thank you @SueHeath, I'm not great at holding onto money so I've a habit of buying vouchers on payday to make sure we don't run out of money for food, so I can do similar with this company, buy gift card for future trips and if social say no then use it for myself and friends. Or buy the tickets with refund protection, idk. I'll talk to social and support workers and see what they advise.1
