Bless you @Mollylegs doesn't sound very nice darling, have you checked on the benifit system what you can get to help sort your finances.
To get to the coffee lounge look in the Categories you will see all the other sections, i'm rubbish at tech stuff so hopefully some clever person might put the access thing up for you. I really do think you will benifit by staying with us darling.0 -
@Mollylegs no you don't need to speak to anyone once you've put you date of birth and phone number in it tells you x0
-
It's a standard letter, I got the same. It tells you what stage they are at, it also stops calls to them asking what's going on. I had my assessment end of November, then received a letter in mid December. Nothing since.0

Hi @Bellasdream do you know if I can message you directly or will it still be seen on the forum, I'm not sure how to do it x

You can direct message people on here. However I think you have to be on here for a while before the tab opens up.Mollylegs said:Hi @Bellasdream do you know if I can message you directly or will it still be seen on the forum, I'm not sure how to do it x0 -

You need to have 25 points before you can private message someone. Another person can message you if they have more points than this and you can reply to them. Looking at your profile you have 20 points. PM's can't be seen by any forum members.

Hi @Bellasdream, I was wondering if you know the answer to this question. I did what you said about phoning up and I was told I would be receiving a certain amount on the 1st February. Do you have any idea if that is a one off payment of any backdated money or will that be the amount that I will be getting monthly. Thanks Tina0

That will be your first payment. It won't give any details of the money that's owed to you. However, please be aware that the automated payment line isn't always reliable. PIP is also paid every 4 weeks, not monthly.

Hi @poppy123456 thank you for your reply. I wasn't too sure what the payment was for if you know what I mean. Does everyone who receives PIP get paid on the 1st of the month? I'm not sure if this money that it had said was going to be payed on the 1st of February was backdated money or if it's the payment I would be receiving from now on as my usual payment. I am struggling massively at the moment both physically and mentally as my husband of 21 years left me for somebody else, I have no money at all at the moment, the UC that I have been getting isn't a huge amount, I really just need to get back on my feet. Thank you for replying to me x0

Thank you for replying to me xNo, you'll be paid on the same day of the week but the date will be different everytime because it's not paid montly, it's paid every 4 weeks. For example, my PIP is always paid on a Wednesday, my last payment was 28th December and my next payment will be 25th January. As it's paid every 4 weeks there will be one month in the year when you'll receive 2 payments. When you receive the decision letter it will give you all the details, including what day of the week you'll be paid.As you're claiming UC have you reported your health condition, supported by a fit note within 7 days of that?0

Hi @poppy123456, yes I have spoken to the advisor at the jobcentre and have handed in my sicknote, is there anything else I'm meant to do? I haven't applied for benefits before as my husband worked and supported us both. If I'm going to be in receipt of PIP does that mean I will stop getting UC? thanks0
-
No. PIP is not taken into account for UC. PIP is not means tested. Whether or not you are entitled to any UC will depend on your finances. You will have a separate assessment process for UC which will ermine whether or not your UC will include extra money because of your health issues.Mollylegs said:If I'm going to be in receipt of PIP does that mean I will stop getting UC? thanks0 -
Hi molly and welcome
Just wanted to say hi and how sorry I am about your personal situation. I can totally empathise having been in that situation myself
It is hard but you will come through it even tho it may not seem like that now .
Always here to talk if yiy ever need to0 -
Hi @calcotti thanks for your reply. I thought UC was just a standard amount, the same for everyone who receives it. Hi @janer1967, that's very kind of you it's been a huge shock emotionally as well as financially.0
