@Albus_Scope thank you. Me too. Although I am beginning to lose all hope. Lol.

Keep on fighting @minimeemaw!
I fought for 18 months for my PIP the first time. It felt like it would never end, but it did and it had a happy ending.1 -
I put my change of circumstances to pip in September 2022 triggering the move to adp. Jan 2024 and still waiting. A case manager phoned me on the 7th November to say it was now with him but what does that even mean? The stress is slowly killing me!! It’s the not knowing and wondering if I’ll still have to through a mandatory reconsideration then tribunal or if it’ll finally be over before 2024 also passes.0
-
@joebroon1970 oh my gosh! I'm so sorry. They keep saying they deal with the forms in chronicological way. Which is a lie obviously . I was also told once a case manager picks it up it will be processed within 2 weeks. Another lie?
Have you been calling and using the webchat for updates?
I would maybe phone and ask to speak to a line manager or your case manager and ask if there is a problem them drop in you have an appt with mp the next day to discuss how they can help you.
It's ridiculous. My worry is they deny any up rates in our claim due to the possible big back payment. It is very stressful waiting not knowing not understanding what's going on. I completely get where you are coming from. Hang in there. You got this!1 -
@minimeemaw
I phone or message every 12 weeks. I used to be told each time I phoned that “we are just about to start looking at applications from the same date as yours…” That changed to lack of staff and it’s in a queue and now it’s “with a decision maker” but that’s also been two months now. I’ve checked countless times to see if they are waiting for info from anyone-I sent in loads of supporting stuff myself (appointments, ot and physio support, medication lists etc) and I’m always told they have all the evidence they need. They also always say that “the good news is it’ll be backdated” but that doesn’t help the stress now nor does it help pay the exra support needed now!!As you said, the amount now owed to us backdated is also a worry incase someone thinks no way are we paying that amount and so it’s declined. I don’t have it in me to battle a tribunal if it comes to that. Let’s hope we both have good news soon-and everyone who has had this stressful long wait.2 -
@joebroon1970 fingers crossed.
It's utterly ridiculous. The different excuses are stressful. Being told it will be back dated isn't comforting. Being told its ok you continue with your current rate until a decision is made is not fine. It's mentally exhausting waiting remembering to chase it up worrying about the outcome.
And yes the extra support now is needed. And waiting for this to be over is hard. My condition has deteriorated since submitting the form but no way am I amending it.
Here's hoping by the end of this month we have some positive news!1 -
@minimeemaw
Would you believe after joining here and having a rant my letter arrived today!!! Thankfully it’s good news. No backdated money but at least I know going forward I’m now in the correct rate. My letter was dated 3rd of Jan so hasn’t taken long to arrive unlike a lot I’ve read on here who have had backdated money before their letter. It’s been a long 15 and half months since my change of circumstances went in!!! Keeping everything crossed for you and hope to hear that yours is in soon too2 -
bbt said:Hi, I applied for Adult Disability Payment in September of last year, and apart from a short identity check via video call, have heard nothing in regards to my application. The website says it should be 8-10 weeks for a decision to be reached, but as this is a new service I understand that there will be many applications and subsequently longer wait times. As of January 2023 it’s been 16 weeks since my application; should I chase this up with them or should I wait until the 20 week mark, as this seemed to be the average for the PIP service (from what I’ve read,) ?0

@joebroon1970 that is fantastic!
Maybe the backdated letter will come later? Or maybe a lovely amount of back dated money will just appear in your bank?
However as you say its sorted and it's a weight off your shoulders! I'm so pleased for you. 😀
@Davmac I'm glad you got your decision through. It must be a nice relief to have it over. I keep hoping I'm on the home stretch and it will be over soon. One day guys, one day....1 -

Well I am still in the queue!! Waiting to be processed! 13 months now. Quite disheartening!0

@minimeemaw
Hi oh I’m sorry to read you’re still waiting that’s been a long wait.
I really hope you don’t have to much longer to wait.
I also live in Scotland and had my pip review last January, I’m still with pip not sure when I will be changed over.
Take care ❤️1 -
@minimeemaw
Can't believe you are still in this position. I know people who have contacted their local MSP for help with this. They contacted ADP on their behalf and were dealt with quickly. Maybe worth a try.1 -
@lou67 @vonny_23.
Thank you. It's ridiculous. I thought they would work through the backlog in chronological order but it seems not. There is no rhyme or reason. The longer it drags on the more I worry it will be denied to due to any back payment owed. Or that it has been lost and I'm being b*llsh*ted with the in a queue nonsense. I am tired. I will email my mp see what they suggest.
The support means alot ladies. Cheers3 -
Alex_Alumni said:I'm sorry you've been having such a long wait @bbt as Poppy has mentioned there's nothing stopping you ringing just to see where things are at
Let us know how you get on if you can, as we're getting more and more members applying for ADP, so it will be useful to hear your experience.0 -
I'm really sorry to hear that @dynasty30 have you called them to pester them about it recently? The waiting really is the worst bit!1
