So before 2018 you were living alone? and receiving either PIP daily living or DLA mid/high rate care and no other income or savings?
I would appreciate it if members wouldn't tag me please. I have all notifcations turned off and wouldn't want a member thinking i'm being rude by not replying.
If i see a question that i know the answer to i will try my best to help.

Do you mean he wasn't living with you or do you mean he was living with you but not getting a disability benefit?

In that case, if he was an adult at the time, you were not entitled to SDP because you were not living alone.

That doesn't answer the question because we don't know when he started living with you. We can't advise you unless you answer all the questions. So again, was your son an adult or a child before 2018?

We can only give advice based on the information you give, so if you give the wrong information the advice could also be incorrect.
For this reason you should speak to an advice agency near you. https://advicelocal.uk/welfare-benefits
