Elevated Tumor Markers - Waiting to get over Covid so I can get CT Scan

Hi, all. During my regular follow-up oncology appointment, it was discovered that my tumor markers were elevated. I have had 4 cancers over a 25-year period. My most recent cancer (breast cancer 4 years ago) was found due to elevated tumor markers. My doc ordered a CT, and while I was waiting for insurance approval for the CT, I came down with Covid. Now I must wait for the CT until I am over Covid. So, I wait, and I worry and feel basically pretty lousy from Covid...

Hi and a very warm welcome to this community here you will find the support you might ever need. I'm sorry to hear about your cancer it's not my strong point and that you have COVID-19 if you have any questions regarding the NHS, Cancer or COVID-19 just ask and our community will do our best to answer them for you. The place I recommend the most is the coffee lounge for some fun, games and light hearted conversation.1

Hello again @FunWithChemo it's good to hear from you, thanks for updating us all, and I'm sorry you're feeling so lousy from Covid, fingers crossed it goes away soon, and you can crack on with the CT scan!
I know that Macmillan provides a wealth of support for those affected by cancer, so do reach out to them if you feel they can help
Wishing you a speedy recovery for that CT scan, and make sure you rest up. As durhamjaide mentioned, you know the Coffee Lounge can be a good way to spend time if you need distracting or cheering up.0
