my spinal condition has deteriorated over the last 3 months so that now I cannot walk and barely stand, I have a wheelchair and a rascal mobility scooter that has been loaned to me. I live in a rented room on my own, share the toilet and bathroom, which is up 2 flights of stairs and struggle to wash, feed and cloth myself. I can no longer drive as I cannot properly feel the pedals. At the moment I am getting no assistance from anybody as I have no experience of how to ask or who to ask-can somebody please direct me so that I can start to get some help, thanks0

Hi and welcome to the community
You can refer yourself for a care needs assessment through the gov website
Social service ot will come and assess your needs and make a report on any care or aids and adaptions you need and recommend how to put these in place
It can take a while you could also speak to your gp
It sounds like where you live is no longer suitable do you private rent your room . Have you looked at applying for social housing again long waiting lists . Or looking for more suitable living0 -
Hello @johntavender I just wanted to welcome you to the community and let you know I've popped your post into our Aids, Adaptations and Equipment section on the forum. So hopefully you'll be able to gather more information.0
