Hi I am new ish claimant for PIP I started claiming in 2021 and they gave me a 3 year award.
My award comes to an end next year and to say I am worrying about it is an understatement.
Will I have to go in and do an assessment? Like with universal credit and what if it changes etc it’s such a worry as you read all these horror stories they stop and change peoples awards. My anxiety couldn’t take it.
Has any body had any recent experiences with this or could put my mind at ease as to that is to come please?
Many thanks to you all.

The renewal process is similar to the original claim. Complete a form, probably have an assessment and then get a new decision.0

Hi @purplepetal
It's perfectly normal to feel worried about the prospect of a renewal, so you're certainly not alone in feeling that way. That being said, please remember that you're more likely to hear about negative experiences, especially online, as people are generally less likely to post about positive experiences.
Whenever it ends up coming around, we'll be here to support you! Many people find it helpful to treat it like a new claim, in terms of the way they complete the forms and provide evidence and so on.0
