Remaining politically neutral during General Election 2024


Under guidance from the Electoral Commission and Charity Commission, it's important that Scope remains politically neutral during General Elections.

While we understand that this period will see many passionate discussions and do not want to discourage open discussion, we cannot allow discussions which are purely intended to influence voting.

Has anyone been told the DWP only pay back payments from the date of your assessment now

I am writing to ask if anybody has been told that the Dwp only pay back payments from the date of your assessment now .I waited 15month for my assessment and received a letter today that my new claim started 10.01.2023 ,that was a week ago . Please let me know if this has happened to anyone else ..thank you

    I am writing to ask if anybody has been told that the Dwp only pay back payments from the date of your assessment now .
    You don’t say what benefit you are referring to. Regardless, there have been no changes in the regulations that would affect the date when any arrears are due from.
    Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Rules may be different in other parts of UK.
