Good day to all.

I was awarded pip about 3 years ago and have now received a letter for a interview with an assessor via telephone. This is from a company called capita.

Is it possible for me to ask for a face to face interview as I am hopeless on the phone and much better in person at explaining issues and problems.

Thought that face to face as assessments had resumed and my conditions have worsened since my last interrogation and assessment.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes you can ring the number on the letter and cancel the appointment and then request a face to face. Yes, they have resumed but most assessments are still by telephone.

Thanks for the advice. After thinking about it I don't want to add time to the claim and risk losing payment. Will just go forward with the phone assessment.

    Have a good day.

Thanks for all the advice. I have had my telephone assesment to continue my PIP. Does anyone know how long the DWP are taking to decide on the information and call. This is for a reassessment.

    Thanks all

Up to 12 weeks once the assessment report is returned to DWP.

Thanks for the reply. Is PIP paid during this period or is it stopped and then paid back.

    Thanks

Your award will continue until a decision is made on the review.
