Hi all I worked for a company for 18 years in which i had used a chair behind the tills for over 8 years because of my disability  rheumatoid arthritis fibromyalgia osteoarthritis osteoporosis our company was taken over by a new company  I had been off sick with a flare up.and the new manager took away my chair and said I didn't need it in fact I do need it I was given an oh appointment in which the lady stated to my new manager to have my chair back in place for me when I returned to work I did return to work and there was no chair which ment I was standing for 8 hrs  a day in agony I took a grievance out against her and I had to go off sick again with stress when I returned to work she had left and there was a chair but it was placed in the middle of the shop in front of self checkouts which means I am constantly up and down in agony all day I asked the new manager if I can have my chair behind the manned tills and she refused this saying I'm not allowed because the company wants people using selfchechouts and they don't want people queuing at the manned tills I am out sick again with a flare because of all this and I really don't know what to do next

    Hi there

Oh reports are only recommendations however they should be put in place unless there is valid reason why not

I would challenge them and if the manned till is still in use then why can't you be put there.  If they have closed it unfortunately that can be seen ad valid business reason why they can't put the adjustments in place anymore

I would ask for meeting before you return to work once you feel ready to discuss what their expectations are when you return and take it from there
