PIP won recently with mandatory reconsideration, now mobility is much worse

Hi New to this, and in need of some help. I am posting this on behalf of my partner.
We applied for PIP at the start of October 2022, It took around 4 weeks, November 2022, they declined it with a score of 6 of daily living so we asked for a mandatory reconsideration, just before christmas it was awarded on daily living on the basic rate.
However, part of my partners difficulties is that she struggles with pain in her back and a loss of feeling on her left hand side, recently she had a procedure in hospital that involved injecting a steroid - However It has now made her back much worse, and mobility has now declined to the point where as my partner is housebound, they have given her crutches, looking at the Mobilty score, i would defiantly state she cannot go any further than 50 metres and whilst I am out the house it is miserable not being able to travel without the use of a our car.
She has called up the PIP enquires line and from what I understand they have told her she would need to completely re-apply. I am concerned that it that may
1) completely re-assess her and may re score her on the daily living score,
2) Will they pause her claim and stop her money whilst this new application is considered
3) Does she risk losing PIP completely.
is there any other way that this can be done, I know that it has been over 1 month since they awarded it. Can we ask for another reconsideration now that she has to use crutches and cannot move without pain? Are we going to have to go for the next step after mandatory reconsideration. I am sorry but I am not really 'In the know', or have they given her the correct advise. I am worried that it will be a great stress re-applying as it was such a fight to get it in the first place.
Any Help is appreciated.

Firstly she needs to have had the worsening of condition for at least 3 months and expect it to last at least a further 9 months.
You can’t request another MR. It would be Tribunal, however they won’t consider a worsening of condition.
As she already has a PIP award she can’t reapply. She can report a change of circumstances if at 3 months she’s still experiencing a worsening of condition. They will send her more forms to fill in and return and the whole process starts again.
She will likely have another assessment as most people have them. Her award can either stay the same, be increased or she could be refused.
Her current award will continue until a decision is made.0 -
