Hi I'm new to this. I applied for pip June 2022. Had a phone accessment 14th December. I haven't received a text or letter. How long should I wait before contacting them .

You should have received a letter or text to say the DWP has received the HCP report on your assessment, 2/3 weeks after the assessment, give the DWP a call.
I know we've had Christmas and postal strikes in the case of mail.

I called them they still haven't received the report. Is there someone else I can call the health professional who done the call maybe ? How long does it usually take . Thought would have been with decision maker before now.

The report could be in audit, which does sometimes happen. If it is then it causes delays with it being returned to DWP.

Just so that you're award the reports are returned digitally, not by post.

I'm talking about the 'we've got all the information we need' letter.

What has that got to do with the assessment report? In your comment you mentioned the HCP report, which is the assessment report and this is why i mentioned the audit.

I rang DWP. They said they haven't received the report and had a look to see why and can't find a reason. So I rang the other number they said it must not have been typed yet. So I'm none the wiser. 14th December to now is abit long I think. Just waiting game now.

I can't imagine that it won't have been written yet because they type it during the assessment. The most likely explanation is it's in audit and the person you spoke to at the health assessment providers failed to tell you this.

    As things stand:
    (a) There's the original question, it's an action by the DWP that's missing, but that is because the action by the (b) assessment company is missing, so the OP needs to chase that to find out why (a) hasn't happened.
