Can I claim esa and uc?

Hey so I claim uc, and am on limited capability for work and work related activitiy. I get housing and child element too. Citizens advice have said I can claim esa too but I don’t want to put a claim in unless I know for certain I’m entitled. Can anyone help thanks oh I also get pip too

You will be no financially better off by claiming New-Style ESA. Have you worked in the last 2 years? Receiving PIP does not change anything.0

Hi thanks for the reply. I’ve been off sick from work since nov 2021. I’m still classed as employed but being Ill health retired next week0

As advised, you won't be financially better off claiming New style ESA. However, it would still be worth claming it because it's not means tested like UC is and you also receive class NI credits but with UC you only receive class 2. If you've paid the correct amount of NI contributions in tax years 2020/21-2021/22 then you can claim.
