Hello guys, thank you very much for taking the time to read my post. I suffer with a lot of physical and mental problems and it has me in a state of paralysing fear to interact with the government, or anyone full stop. For this reason, i sent in a claim by post, specifying the reason, saying that i wanted to apply for PIP, with my email address and my home address on it. I sent it in early December and because of postal strikes they didn't get it until late December, but it is now late January. Is this delay normal? Is anyone in or was in the same boat, and what are my options for checking on it that i am compatible with?
Delivery was confirmed in late December as a picture was taken as proof of delivery. Thanks guys!

I have no experience of making the initial claim by paper so can't say what is normal in this situation.0

If they received it late December, then it's still feasible that it will be sent out. You could send a chase letter, referencing (attach a copy) the letter sent in early December. You are covered in both circumstances, if they send it (no harm done except postage costs), if they haven't sent it, it tells them they need to send it.0
