How can carer be awarded CA before before my pip has been awarded

I applied for pip last January this month on the 6th I had my assessment today my cousin has told he had been awarded careers allowance for me how is this even possible ?

    It shouldn't be possible.

    It’s strange I called pip just now they said it’s with case manager and a desicion should be made anytime now but when my cousin enquired they said he’s been awarded I don’t know who to speak too

    In respect of your PIP outcome only PIP can advise you. If they haven't made decision then there's nothing to tell you yet. If Carers Allowance have made an error on your cousin's claim that is not something you can ring them about because it isn't your claim and it doesn't affect you.
