I've done something that's a lil bit outta my comfort zone

Hi everyone,
I did something that's a lil bit outta my comfort zone earlier as I applied for a part-time job at a local-ish (it's about 1.8 miles from where I live according to Google maps) pets at home. It's a part-time job for 16 hours a week, which is enough for me.
My key worker wanted me to go for this support worker role in areas of my hometown that I'd get lost as I don't know my way around the areas at all, but the job I've applied for is in a branch of pets at home that's 2 doors down from the store where my fiance works.
My fiance said that if I get invited for an interview and it's on his day, he'll come with me  and show me where it is.
My fiance was double checking something in the job description (I'd forgotten to swap my glasses round) for me and he'd noticed that they have a cycle to work scheme in place.
The only problem is that myself, my fiance and my mum live in a top floor flat and we only have a narrow hallway that's ready got my mum's electric bike and my fiancé's bike in there, so I'm not sure what's going to happen there, but I'm sure we'll figure it out.

Morning @BrianMcFaddenfan07 good luck with your application for your job darling.
Why don't you wait and see how things work out with the job application before you start looking/worrying about the cycle scheme - i'm looking forward to hearing about your progress with this job application and wishing you luck xx

Well done for stepping outside your comfort zone and applying for the job @BrianMcFaddenfan07 :)

The cycle to work scheme is a fantastic scheme, a lot of companies do it, hopefully you'll be able to work something out for it.

Will keep everything crossed for you!

You don't need to worry the cycle to work scheme is voluntary you don't have to parttake if it doesn't fit your needs. It's just a genefit some companies offer

I live up near the local hospital and I wouldn't be able to walk there and back and buses are a nightmare as I'd have to get a either a weekly or monthly bus ticket, which are very expensive.
I can ride a bike, but I've not rode one for quite a few years. The last bike I remember having was a pink and white Miss Penny bike as myself and my middle sister had one each. They had a little white shopping basket on the front and a little saddle box on the back. Our youngest sister had an electric American police motor bike, which she loves.

Hi @BrianMcFaddenfan07 how do you feel about getting back to riding a bike - we have bikes and we took to cycling again about 8 years ago i was in my late 50's then, after a few wibbly wobbly days we got the hang of it again. Do they have proper cycle lanes between your house and the store you've applied. ? xx
