POEM - February is here.

Here is a little poem.
  

FEBURARY IS HERE, I NEED A PLAN.

 

Well here we are, its February

The second month of the year

Christmas is but a memory

A thought, a blur from last year

What will it bring, is up to you

It heralds Spring, its chilly here.

 

The leaves have dropped the wind is cold

The ground is hard this time of year.

But, in the plants, it’s a busy time

With nutrients to be found.

Pushing buds for this year’s growth

With Crocus, daffodils and snow drops, the most.

 

Their heads are beginning to show

Exploring the sun’s rays, warm and glowing

But they are not that silly,

Mother Nature says, it’s not quite time

one more cold snap, is on its way

so now’s the time to delay.

 

When the warmth of spring arrives,

you’ll be first, to push and strive

seeking the warm rays of sun,

with new growth, a burst of colour, in the coming months

shaking off all the browns,

for other, to be proud.

 

Yellow, White, Red and Greens

Are some colour that will be seen

But this is in the months ahead

Cos’ all I see are all those heads

They sit there waiting for that time

when Spring says, “Where’s that burst of colour you said?”

 

So, here I am with a cup of tea

Sitting, and look from inside here,

Concocting a plan for this year

Where to start the plan this year.

But now I’ve had a chance to think

Like Mother Nature, I’ll wait till Spring, before I begin.
