He can claim Carer's Allowance if he is earning less than £132/week. Note however that earnings are projected forward rather than backwards so if he is paid monthly and gets his final payment at the end of March that will mean he is over the earnings limit for April. That means his entitlement is likely to be limited to May only until his SP starts. Be aware too that at the moment there seem to be long delays processing CA claims.
Are you older or younger than him? Do you currently claim any other benefits (besides PIP)? Do you rent or own your home? Do you have joint capital over £16,000 (ignoring the value of home if you own it)? Will he receive any pensions other than State Pension? Does he know how much his State Pension will be?1 -
Thanks he retires as I said July on full pension and very small other pension. It's just the 3months he is paid weekly last pay day 31st March. It might not be worth claiming . Any thoughts appreciated.0

My other questions were to ascertain whether or not you could claim Universal Credit.0 -
My mistake July 2nd he retires. Sorry. No he cannot claim UC. So what happens is it automatically stopped at retirement date or does he have to inform them ?👍0
