Back in october2022 I was advised by doctor to put in for pip due to bylateral oesteoarthritis in both hips, I didn't hold out for anything, I got help from a benefits advisor from my housing team, had assesment the end of Jan 2023, was so ill thinking about it all and the assesment, but the assessor was great and I was awarded pip straight away received first payment Feb 2023. This is just a bit of positivity for people who are worried if you can get the help from someone who knows how to fill in forms which I just looked at and was put off straight away, it can go your way. Like I say I didn't think I would get anything as there is so much negative views on here.i found the whole process a little stressful at times but got a result, of standard rate for the care and high rate mobility. So keep your chins up and go for it and get all the help you can get.
