Hello guy's, I hoped I can get some information or advice.. Dwp - PIP , phoned me to tell me they owed me money but couldn't tell me how much at that time. The next day I received a letter from PIP stating that they looked at my claim and I should have been receiving full mobility from November 2018 to September 2020... I wasn't getting any Mobility at the time.. the amount for full Mobility was around £298 which I times by 20 to include the 20 months they owed me. That came out to £5900 of course it was a ruff estimate but I was expecting around that amount. Give or take a few 100.
Around a week later £2700 went into my account, I thought that's odd it should be significantly more. I phoned them and she said that it's probably/ must be right, although she couldn't tell me why. I asked them to send me a brake down, to give me an idea of how they calculated it.
I've still not received the brake down and the woman on the phone sounds annoyed that I had audacity to ask and question them. Although I was polite and calm. Now I've received a form to fill out even though I'm not due the form for a little under 12 months . To review my award.
I'm confused and frightened to phone again. Even my mental health worker helped me calculate the number and she is sure they owe me much more. I mean I was prepared to be a few £100 difference but certainly not £1000s different.
Please has this happened to anyone else? Or dose anyone know what I can do to help resolve this.? Any advice would be appreciated and sorry for the long message.

For the money they owe you then you will need to contact PIP again if you think it’s incorrect. You should have received a decision letter with all the details on it.
For your review forms when does your existing award due to end? And was that award extended because of Covid? If it was extended then receiving the forms now is correct. You will need to fill them out and return them with all your evidence. You can ring PIP to ask for extra time to return them and they will give you and extra couple of weeks.0 -
Hello @lexi1990 How are you doing?
I'm sorry your experience with the PIP helpline wasn't a positive one, and left you feeling frightened to call again. Is there any way your mental health worker or a family member/friend could be with you when you next call them for moral support?
Just to let you know, I've moved your thread to our PIP, DLA and AA category and amended the title to help others find it more easily.
Wishing you all the luck for a speedy resolution. Please keep us updated.0
