Afternoon
I am a little confused I get ESA contributions support group and LWCRA and PIP standard daily rate and enhanced mobility
is LWCRA means tested ? Am I entitled to any other benefit I don’t get the full LWCRA as they deduct Universal credit and my ESA payment so I get £169 a month is this correct as it’s a minefield also I’ve read the the new COL payment I will not get as I get ESA contributions is this correct
many thanks

If you are receiving Universal Credit you will receive the Cost of Living payment. Recieving contribution based ESA (in your case New Style ESA) alongside Universal Credit will not mean you don't receive it.

Hi
Thank you for your reply
I’ve been getting ESA contributions for about 6 years I then moved in with my partner and started claiming UC for both of us I lost the means tested part of the ESA and they replaced it with the LWCRA I’ve split from my partner now
is it correct to deduct UC and ESA from the benefit as I read it’s not included in the benefits cap
i take it that I’m not entitled to any other help as Like everybody I’m struggling
thank you

LCWRA is part of UC which is means tested. When claiming ESA as well as UC it’s always deducted in full from any UC entitlement. You’re still claiming your maximum UC entitlement.Although your UC is only £169/month, you will also be receiving your ESA fortnightly which is (£235.20)
The only other benefit that’s possible to claim is Council tax reduction if you’re named on the bill. The criteria for the first COL payment hasn’t been announced yet but when it js providing you receive a UC payment each month then you will be entitled to it, same as last year.0 -
They don't deduct UC from LCWRA. LCWRA is part of UC and LCWRA forms part of the calculation of your maximum UC amount. The actual UC payable depends on what is left after deductions from the maximum amount.0
