Will I be backdated the difference in my PIP awards?

I recently was awarded the enhanced rate of pip it's taken sixteen months to sort out I have been receiving low rate for this period ,I have been awarded high rate from August 2021 so will I get backdated the difference ?? The letter said we may owe you some money thanks in advance I hope this makes sense

They will backdate provided you don’t owe DWP money. Excellent news.0

Was this awarded by a Tribunal? If so then it can take up to 8 weeks to pay what is owed and to put your new award into payment.

Hi poppy ,It was an assesment I was due in Jan 2021 but only had it recently in which I was awarded enhanced rate from lower rate from 2021 to 2029 they have paid me one payment of higher rate since the assesment but no back pay regards nigelpoppy123456 said:Was this awarded by a Tribunal? If it was a review started by DWP they don’t usually pay you the difference between your previous award and your existing award.
Due to backlogs for reviews they have been known to pay you the difference between both awards but not always.0 -

I was lucky and they did for me when I got 8 months difference between Standard and Enhanced daily living
Seems like a lottery ...0 -
