Received my letter and I’m not entitled to pip but nearly everything in the letter contradicts what the assessor has put
plus this last bit of letter makes no sense

The last bit does indeed make no sense! All you can do now, if you wish, is request a Mandatory Reconsideration.

Just read the letter again
am I reading this wrong?0 -
It appears you got some points but not as many as 8 for either section (Daily Living or Mobility) - therefore no award.0
-
-
I’m going to, is it best to do it in writing?0
-
It also says you need assistance to make complex budgeting decisions, which should be 2 points, did you score points for this?

@poppy123456 yes I got those it was just for the meal prep and washing bit I didn’t
what is the best course of action in this case, call them and say it makes no sense or call and say I want to do a MR in writing?0 -
Did you get a copy of your report? I’m curious whether the DWP went with it. My symptoms are similar to yours and I got 11 points daily living and 10 mobility.0
-
Hi @livelife87 yes I did and if I go by the report I would of got standard daily at least, but the award letter even contradicted things the assessor had written in the report
DM states I was not anxious assessor states I was things like that
the no specialist mental health input when clearly it states that there is and the therapy I’m receiving plus I’m being prescribed antipsychotic medication by the mental health team 🤷🏼♀️
makes no sense to me at all 😔0 -
Yeah, sounds like the DWP is clearly in error. Deffo do MR. I’ll probably get something similar now. When did you have assessment?0
-
Had my assessment on the 30th January 23, got a text saying they had the report the next day, the decision letter is dated the 07/02/23 I’ve only just received it though.0

If not awarding those points has cost you an award then you should definitely mention all of that in your MR request. You should put that in writing stating where and why you think you should have scored those points.skyladawn said:@poppy123456 yes I got those it was just for the meal prep and washing bit I didn’t

You had your assessment a week before mine then. I’d rather not have the decision now. In fact, I’m tempted to just withdraw all together. It’s been super stressful.0

@poppy123456 it has before awarding them it was 7 points if I got them it would of been 11. I’m going to go through the report and the letter with highlighters, different colours for different bits, so I’m clear what is contradicting what then take it all to someone who can help me

It would be a shame to give up now. The majority of people that claim any disability benefits experience the same stress and anxiety, it’s perfectly normal.livelife87 said:You had your assessment a week before mine then. Hello @skyladawn
Just to let you know, we removed the image of your letter as it had the decision makers name on it.0 -
