Hi @gran
I'm so sorry you've been feeling so nervous and so anxious about this appointment. If you are feeling like you would like more information before you turn up, you could contact the hospital and ask if they have any information leaflets they could send out? I did have a look to see if I could find an NHS webpage but unfortunately there isn't one I could find.Hannah - She / Her

Hello @gran and thanks for reaching out, I wish you all the best for your upcoming operation. Just to clarify, is an HFX a high frequency spinal cord stimulator?
I had a quick search, and have found this information from North Bristol NHS Trust, on Spinal Cord Stimulation for Pain Relief:
Spinal Cord Stimulation Information Leaflet
It is in a PDF format, which I know isn't always accessible, so please ask if you have any trouble reading it. You may well have read something similar already, but I hope this helps to reassure you a little.
