Yet another poem for February.
Yet another poem in February
Where half way through February
Its still really, really cold,
Valentines day has been and gone
I didn’t get that golden Gong.
I didn’t pull out all the flags
Or pop a bottle of Champers
Instead I made a basket
To my only love. I guess I must be crackers
I put some red heart lights
That shone around the edge.
And put some scented candles
To put around the bed
I put some coconut bath oils
and some coconut shower gel
and some coconut shampoo
to put upon her head
I thought my luck is in
I’ve finally made it good
She looked at me with those sexy eyes
And said, is it time for bed?
She went upstairs, to use, what I had bought
I could hear the bath water splashing, and then that scented smell
It wasn’t until I went to bed, that the penny dropped.
I.ve got a nut allergy, now what going to be said.
I peeked around the corner,
and said in a sexy voice
Are you all right my love
Is it time for bed?
She looked at me and burst out laughing
She knew I didn’t think
And said come here my love
It’s the thought, that counts, now give me a big CWTCH.
There were a few more lines
I could have put on here
But I’ll just say, I’m all right till next year. 17/02/2023.

@onebigvoice So beautiful poem you have written. On a separate note I would appreciate if you help write a poem just like your one?

It is indeed the thought that counts @onebigvoice I enjoyed your poem, thanks for sharing it.
I think the ability to look past little mistakes and see the good intention behind them is a great thing to practice in a relationship, I do think it takes practice mind!0 -
When I write a poem
its not all about me
I need to sit down some where
and make a cup of tea
I try to think what bothering me
and try to put it on paper
just to see what I can see
I use this best at night
its to put down all my thought
my head seems to come alive
always when its time for bed.
its time to empty my head
I'm feeling tired right now
but my brain has other ideas
just bouncing round my head.
So now I've written, what is in my head.
its seems quite lonely in here
inside this empty head
I think that I am ready
Yes I'm going to bed.
If anyone has trouble sleeping get your self a book or diary and every night write about your day, anything and every thing, and then write about things you never got round to finishing or what you need to do tomorrow.
I find it helps, but now I find my self looking forward to the night and have to come up with another plan.
A nice cup of tea I think is called for.0 -
