Being a non dependant living at home

Hi I'm wondering if anyone could give me some advice, me my sister niece who are all over 18  and niece who's 10,we are all living at home still, (always have) with my dad, ( my mum passed away, we are just wondering what will happen to us if my dad was to pass away would we be able to keep the house, (which is council , only since mum passed people have said we wouldnt be left in the house if my dad was to pass, (don't like to talk about ifs and buts but we are worried,just wondering if theirs anything we can get in place now so that dont happen any advice would be much appreciated, thanks

    Hello @Nanosaro and thanks for reaching out, I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your mum, that can't be easy for any of you. 

    I've had a quick search now, and the housing charity Shelter has some information on when the tenant of a council house dies which I hope is useful for you. I'd encourage you to reach out to them for any information or advice you might need on housing or concerns around homelessness. 

    You've said you're worried about your dad passing too, so well done for taking the time to post, and I hope we can help support you and easy those worries.
